Can anyone out there really believe the stupidity and arrogance of Don Imus? This stupid bastard – who by all accounts really does have an ill attitude towards people of color and women – goes about his business by calling some of the best young female athletes in New Jersey (and North America) nappy headed hos!?! What the fuck sense does that make?
First of all, the term “nappy headed” insinuates that all of the girls on the team are black – which is just untrue. Second, none of those girls have nappy hair! And third – who in their right fucking mind has the term “nappy headed” in their OWN head when looking for an adjective to describe a black person? I mean good Lord, Imus…what the hell is wrong with you?
And then to go and call a group of Rutgers female basketball players “hos” is just stupid. Seriously. If you’re looking to call some random girl a ho, then just go to the local hooker and call her what she is, but to call a group of girls who took second place in the NCAA tournament “hos” is fucking ludicrous!
Don Imus is a complete moron and a stupid scumbag of a racist. He doesn’t deserve to be on the airwaves any more and he doesn’t deserve to be a public figure any more.
NOW…
Imus is not the only asshole in this matter. Those hypocritical activists (Al Sharpton anyone?) who made it their mission to get Imus fired are just as big of a bunch of assholes as Imus is. Granted, Imus couldn’t keep his mouth shut after he apologized, but any rational thinking person needs to wonder when an “activist” becomes (for lack of a better term right now) a terrorist when they continue to terrorize a person after they apologize for saying or doing something stupid.
In other words, if you said something outlandish and sincerely apologized for it, at what point do the people asking you to apologize have to accept your apology and put their picket signs home? At what point do they say, “Ok, I accept your apology. Please be more intelligent in the future.”? Not that Imus deserved that level of respect because he’s a jerk, but it’s something that everyone needs to keep in mind…
At some point an apology has got to count. Right?
