HBO posted their online episode guide for last night’s series ending Sopranos. At the bottom of this guide is a hint that maybe Tony Soprano isn’t whacked when the screen cuts to black in the diner.
Meanwhile, Meadow struggles to parallel park outside. Customers come and go – a shady looking guy who’s been sitting at the counter enters the restroom. Finally parking the car, Meadow runs inside to join her family, just in time for dinner.
Well, according to the episode guide, Meadow did in fact run inside of the diner and join her family – just in time for dinner. To me, that wraps up the theories that claimed the abrupt cut to black was Chase’s way of showing the audience what it’s like for Tony when he gets whacked.
Most Sopranos fans assumed that Tony lived anyway; this may further confirm that belief.

before i get jumped on I did not see the show… The end was from Tony’s view of Meadow? could it have been a first hand account of Tony getting whacked and Meadows reaction of it when it goes black?
I did not see the show so all i am going on is from what i have read and heard on the radio

Ha ha ha! Not to worry, the rest of the episode is good enough to make up for it!
