And taking the hand of the child, he said to her, “Talitha koum”, which is translated, “Little girl, I say to you, get up”.

Above is just a good Bible verse – Jesus goes into the house of a rabbi whose daughter just died and the rabbi is crying about his daughter’s death. So Jesus tells her to get up and he basically heals her.
I heard a priest speak on this phrase one time and he had a great sermon about how it’s a parable for people to get up and live their life when they feel down. And if they feel down about it all and don’t think that they can move, they should look to Jesus to help lift them up.
Nice story. Good parable.
