As I sit here at work, there is a British re-enactment group outside playing their flutes and banging on their drums. This could quite possibly be an American re-enactment of a Revolutionary War-era marching band, but there is no flag with the group and they’re wearing red coats – so they must be British!
This is really great. In a city as historic as Trenton, there SHOULD be re-enactments like this all of the time. Anyone who has read David McCullough’s 1776 knows that Trenton played a big part in the Revolutionary War.
Ah, the Revolutionary War – the battle of “No Taxation without Representation!” And to think that now Trenton is the seat of the most overtaxed state in the union…
Ironic.
