After what must have only been a honeymoon period post-loan consolidation, the completely unfriendly, horrible customer service folks at the private-owned New Jersey Higher Education Student Assistance Authority (NJHESAA) strike again!
This time around, I called to make a payment on my unGodly high student loan with them. When I made the call, I got the standard, “We are experiencing heavy call volumes at this time,” message. This message is a staple of calling NJHESAA and makes me wonder how with all of the money that they’re making off of people like me – why can’t they hire more people to answer the phone?
So I wait the 18 minutes to have my call answered…and it IS finally answered – only to be hung up on. That’s ok, I told myself. I’m not going to be deterred from making a payment to these assholes! So I call back…and wait in a 9 minute line to have my call answered.
Again, the call is answered and immediately hung up.
Do I make the call again? You bet!
And after 4 minutes of waiting, FINALLY the call is answered! However, I get hung up on again.
So, after wasting these precious minutes of my life that I can never get back, I’m now giving up on trying to make a payment to the NJHESAA today. This organization – by FAR – is the worst “company” that I’ve ever dealt with and I’ll be so incredibly glad when I’m no longer tied to these horrible, terrible people.
